today rules!
Today has been really productive! Cleaned up the kitchen with Adam and now it's gone from super cluttered and fulla dirty dishes (feel free to judge, it was awful!) to being sparkling clean and all the dishes are done and in the cupboards and it feels so much nicer in there. Took a break to finish crocheting my kickass cute purse (I'll upload pictures later, I'm really proud of it) and later I made some adorable bright colored flowers to yarnbomb with once the weather is nicer. This morning we had a wicked thunderstorm roll through too, it was great. We kept the windows open a tiny bit so we could hear the thunder better, I love listening to thunder.
So hurray! We ran off to the store and picked up some delicious stuff to make a roast and some other necessary things. The roast is in the oven now and smells amazing- it's got carrots, potatoes, broccoli, green beans, spinach, and garlic stewing all together to be tasty. I can't wait for it to be finished, it smells so so good in our apartment right now! I'm going to make up some cornbread too in a little while, Ollie loves it and it'll go great with all the veggies.
Basically, we had a really productive day. Adam's mum is coming to visit Thursday or Friday and the apartment is looking great already, I think I'll make some cupcakes for the occasion. I've got some apples kickin' around and I think some cupcakes with apple/pear compote on top could be amazing.
The only downside is poor grumpy Deli. She's still teething hardcore and today she's been shitting like a fiend. We got back from the store and during the 5 minute car ride she'd soaked through her outfit and it was just awful. I don't even know, man. Humans don't poop like that.. But she is 9 months old today! How excellent is that? She's getting so big so fast, geez.
Oh! I got a free redbox movie code so we got that movie about a runaway train? Don't remember what it's called, but it's got the dude from Star Trek who is all rough and manly looking, mmf. I'm all about that. Also, last night we rented Black Swan and it was AMAZING. Loved it. I am so, so glad we got it. Completely excellent and the ending was great. The whole movie was a lot better than I expected, and I was expecting a lot.
