(no subject)
I feel good.
Today was nice. We woke up a bit late, ate some tasty breakfast, and then went out for a walk around the artsy/hippie section of town and through some of the trails there. After walking for over an hour we went out to eat and only ate things we'd never tried before. At 1:45 I realized that I had forgotten I had an appointment with a counselor at 2. Oops!
I called and rescheduled for 3 and then went home with the boys and bummed around for a few. I didn't expect the appointment to last long- the counselor works for the clinic I get my prenatal care at and she has a meeting with most of the expecting mothers who come in. Basically it was a meeting to hang out, chat, and get a full medical/psych profile. She ended up being really sweet and chatty and we talked and talked and it ended up taking an hour and a half. She said it wasn't usually so time consuming but we'd had such a good talk that it wasn't a bad thing and I agree. It felt really cathartic to get some of that out.
After that I went home and while Ollie napped Adam and I hung out and snuggled and napped after a while. It wasn't too warm out today (it peaked at 77 I think) but we decided that, hell with it, we were going to the pool when Ollie got up. We only ended up staying about 30 minutes or so, it wasn't cold out but the water had chilled pretty significantly since yesterday and we were freezing our tails off.
Then it was time to go home and we got Ollie in the tub and made some tasty dinner. Chicken for him and ravioli for us- dessert was cherries and edam cheese for us and since Ollers ate so nicely he got teddy grahams. Hurray! Then we snuggled and played with toy airplanes and later watched The Lion King and roared like lions the whole time. I chased Ollie around and pretended to be a lion and it was cute and fun and relaxing.
Once he went to bed I hung out with Adam and crocheted and then took a nice long bubble bath and started re-reading my favorite book. What more could you ask for?
