Just ate dinner with Adam and realized how different we are when it comes to food. It isn't usually as evident with most things but tonight we both had steaks- his well done and mine rare/barely medium. He loads things up with garlic and italian seasonings and I got for sea salt and cajun spices. He was looking at my plate fulla blood and told me I'm weird. I don't think so, that steak was mighty nice.

I get strange looks when we go out to eat and I order my steaks raw though- I know I look like a hippie for the most part what with the dreads and piercings and that I also look young for my age, so for some reason a lot of folks assume I'm at least a vegetarian. My doctor did. But I like eating meat! A lot! Nothing is better than some grilled and seasoned veggies, a rare steak, and something cold- especially in summer.

I don't know, I just think it's interesting to know what people expect about me, especially when it's off from how things are. What kind of stereotypes do you get stuck with that aren't true, folks?

Oh, and something cute happened yesterday that sort of relates- Adam and I were out shopping with the kids, he had a cart and I was holding Delilah. We were dressed normally for us in all our pierced and tattooed glory and we walked by a young couple that were pretty heavily modified themselves. The gal saw us coming and nudged her fella and they both just kind of watched us from the corner of their eyes and smiled. Once we passed they snuggled against each other and I heard her say "that'll be us someday..." Aww!

Oh yeah! I forgot to tell you folks something! On Sunday I finally had that baby- she was born at 11:03 and weighed 8lb7oz. Her name is Delilah Pepper Rooney and she's so friggin' cute it sort of hurts. I feel great and she's doing swell and Ollie isn't terribly jealous- he kissed her head today and pet her.

She's just a day old in these pictures and wearing a hat I crocheted for her:

Here's what I looked like the day before I had her, I felt huuuuuge:

Here's Adam and Ollie being silly while they visited me in the hospital because they are adorable and fun:
