Time Lords! I have a question. More of grammatical accuracy than any real interest.
The 'the'. Is it supposed to be used when addressing you? Ever? Because 'Master' has an entirely different implication to 'the Master', does it not? So one would think 'the' should be employed, but then I think about addressing the Doctor and find it quite difficult not to just call him 'Doctor'. So what's the done thing?
[Private to Security and Four]
I had an idea, gentlemen (and ladies. there's a remarkable amount of women on this security team). I was talking to one of the newer arrivals, and there was discussion of the need for a map, because at least whilst there's information avaliable, the actual relation of one thing to another and the sheer size of the boat could get disorienting.
I also think it might come in use to security. More so than a list I understand you are keeping of every warden and inmate and their room numbers. It would make it easier to see who lives near who and who is likely to have seen something in relation to an incident, would it not? I know I kept maps of the city all over my office. I still have many of them.
My point is, I would be quite willing to make you one, which I presume you have methods of being able to copy and thrust at new arrivals. I presume security would not want to relinquish its list to me as to where everyone lives although I know much of that from my notes, but I'm sure you could fill that part in yourselves.
All I require to do this is a measuring tape and a larger sheet of paper than I currently possess. I am quite good with proportion, measurement and accuracy, so I can assure you it would be of the highest quality. I would also, Doctor, quite like access to the warden-only areas of the ship for the weekend, if possible. I understand if you want me to leave zero uncharted. although I've been down there often enough to do it from memory.
