The police don't seem to care enough to even warn the residents here to be careful, not do they seem to be taking measures to investigate and find the killer. I'm guessing they're a little distracted by things that go bump in the night and dealing with another black-out. But it could also be the fact that murder here has lost its potency, since the dead always come back.

I'm sure the victims still hate dying and wish justice on the one who killed them in the first place. They were well before the blackout and these monsters, so that's a poor excuse.

I have more outstanding warrants than pairs of shoes, not that I'm lamenting that fact. The failing of mundane policy isn't a problem for me.

Unpaid fines, mostly. Noise violations, destruction of public property, unpaid parking tickets for a certain car they won't be able to prove I ever owned.

That's not to say I haven't done worse, but you won't find anything on record.
