From my point of view, your lives simply changes from one form to another, and many of you are more dead when inhabiting a physical body than you are outside of it, in those times where you have other things to do...
Your lives one begun, but there is no end, simply a change of perspective and plane, so there cannot be an afterlife. It is all life.
