So, I've done the math.
Consider that Drexel is on a quarter system with quarters lasting 10 weeks, an extra week for finals, and 1 week break in-between quarters.
There is approximately a 1 in 6 chance that any week will be some type of exam week (midterms or finals).
Strictly speaking, this might not be true. Over the winter there is a 3-week break for Christmas and New Years. But, if you consider that the last-week of classes can also be pretty stressful and sometimes also full of final-papers (assuming some of your classes have both final papers and final projects), it probably does work out to something pretty close to 1 in 6.
I feel so much better about my decisions to take the summers off, when possible.
