So lately for the last few weeks, I've been trying this new method of sleeping called Lucid Dreaming. Everyone has dreams, but most people don't realize when they're dreaming, and have no control over what goes on in their dream. Then when they wake up, they can only remember parts of their dreams for a short time, and go on to forget them repeating the process every night. Lucid Dreaming is the practice where you train yourself to first start vividly remembering your dreams, and eventually learn how to realize when you're awake and when you're dreaming. Once you have the ability to realize when you're dreaming and can control what goes on in your dream.
The way I'm practicing right now is I set one of my alarms for the middle of the night because usually you're more likely to have a dream when you go back to sleep after waking up earlier than planned. Another method I practice is to right down your dreams as an attempt to help you remember your dreams.
It can take a while before you master the art of Lucid Dreaming, but I've had a little success so far...there's been a few times where I've been able to feel like I'm getting lucid, but usually I end up waking myself up as reality escapes me.
Well anyways that's my random rant for the night, if you have any questions or just want to talk to me about lucid dreaming, or what I've been dreaming about, leave me a comment or something.
