as far as The Passion goes, i think you are totally wrong in saying that pastors who advocate children going to see this movie are trying to scare children into believing in God. The movie is an accurate depiction of the life of Jesus Christ, according to the Bible. the job of a pastor of a Christian church is to educate his/her congregation on God and Jesus and the teachings presented in the Bible. part of the Christian religion is to spread the word of it. this doesn't mean to force the belief system that goes along with it onto other people, but to make them aware. that is what free will is for. you have to be informedon something before you can choose to believe it is true or not. and i think that is the goal of advocates of this movie. they are just doing their job. and i seriously doubt they want five year old children to see the movie, but instead children who believe, along with their parents, that they are ready to experience such a thing, kind of like how you were able to take communion before the average child at st. paul's. whatever pastors are advocating children to see this movie are only doing their jobs and what they believe they should do and you can't persecute them for that. a person is not going to go see the movie if they are not willing or ready to. the pastor who made that list was recommending it. and the kids who decide to go see it have the choice of whether or not to bring a friend, and the friend has the choice to decide to go or not. and overall, the parents of underage children have the ultimate say, since this movie is so graphic, they are carding like no other for this movie. i guess all i am trying to say is that you are entitled to your opinion on this, just as anyone else, but you can't definitively say they "demand that these same children go and see the passion of the christ... and they are doing this to purposefully scare children into believing in "god"." it sounds like you are trying to say your beliefs are right and those who agree with the "religious fanatics" are in the wrong, which is just as bad as those that you are condemning.
