Expanded on the Mirror of Erised question a bit.

  • What sort of profession in the wizarding world would you choose and why?
Tough question, since I don’t think we saw a variety of jobs. I wouldn’t want to be a teacher, since I think I’m horrible at explaining things. I can do them just fine and possibly demonstrate the movements involved, but actually explaining them… I’d be standing in front of the class going “Uh…” I also don’t think a desk job would keep my focus. Being a Quidditch player would be a good choice, since I’m competitive and become dedicated to my team once I’m part of it.
However, I think I’d end up becoming an artist. There are paintings, so surely someone must have painted them, and therefore there must be artists. I like creating things, and seeing my creations actually move would be kind of fun (or annoying. With my luck, they’d start critiquing me as I was painting them on the canvas! But I talk/sing to my paintings already so I guess there wouldn’t be much of a difference).

  • You have to venture deep into the Forbidden Forest one night. Pick one Harry Potter character other than Hagrid and one object (muggle or magical), besides your wand, that you'd want with you.
After brainstorming, I think I’ve settled on… Molly Weasley. She seems like just another stay at home mom but dude~ from what I remember she kicks butt when she’s mad! That, and I’m a pretty carefree person at times, so sad to say I’d need her mothering ways to keep me from getting eaten or something. Hermione would be good at keeping me grounded too, but at the same time I could see me being more annoyed by her than anything else, since we’re about~ the same age. With Mrs. Weasley, I’d be able to deal with her telling me what to do, since I know she’s older and therefore wiser.
As for the object I'd take, I'd bring a knife just in case my wand was knocked out of my hand or something.

  • If you had the opportunity to live forever, but your family and friends did not, what would you choose? And if you did choose to live forever, what would you do with eternity?
I wouldn’t want to live forever, only to see my friends and family die around me. One of my fears is to end up alone, so making friends in different centuries just to watch them die in what would seem the blink of an eye, would be a never ending nightmare.

  • If you could travel back in time to one point, when and where would you go? Why?
I’d go back to my last season of soccer, to tell myself to be a leader! I look back and wish that I had stood up to the coach and his ridiculous drills, along with the so-called captain of the team, who didn’t even show up for half the practices. And the few short times I did take charge, it helped my team out (one time it got us a goal!). Just wish I had stepped up more often.

  • What HP character do you identify with most and why?
So~ difficult! I think I identify a lot with Neville Longbottom, though. It took both of us a long time to bloom. When I got into middle school, something had happened in my life and I did a 180 in personality, going from someone who wanted to be friends with everyone, to antisocial. Then in high school, I realized that I really did want friends, but by that time I was so used to being alone and invisible that I couldn’t just snap my fingers and be outgoing again.
But, I have slowly been forcing myself to open up, and while I’m not the most outgoing person in the world, I have become easier around people. And I see Neville going through a similar change; he starts out as this nervous, shy little boy, and ends up becoming very brave and a key character.

  • What would you see if you looked into the Mirror of Erised?
I’d see me as a famous artist, happily married (though to who, who knows). Forgive me if this answer’s on the short side, I don’t look that far into the future. :D!
    edited part:
After putting a little more thought into it, one of my other deepest desires is to create a story/comic book with my original characters in it. I'm always coming up with adventures and scenarios for them, so it'd be fun if I could write it all down. I also think it'd be hilarious to look at fanart and see all the weird pairings people come up with. xD!!
And then I'd probably also see my family and friends around me, since I'm pretty close to them. When I'm in my dorm and haven't visited in about 3 weeks or so, I'll actually feel kinda empty inside. So I'd definitely see myself surrounded by them in the mirror.

  • Do you believe that moral actions should be judged by the intentions behind them, or by the consequences they create?
I’d say consequences. Isn’t there a saying? ‘The road to Hell is paved with good intentions’? It’s so easy to mean well, but if a person goes about doing it the wrong way, they’ll only make the situation worse than it was before.

  • What was your ideal job as a kid? Has that changed? What is your ideal job now?
Hahaha, what wasn’t my ideal job as a kid? XD My ideal job changed almost every hour. I wanted to be a pet shop owner, a ballet dancer, a singer, an archaeologist, an Olympic runner (when I was a kid, I thought it was an actual job), and a police officer.
It has changed, since now I want to be a graphic designer. :3

  • If you were able to invent one spell, potion, or charm, what would it do, what would you use it for or how would you use it, and what would you call it?
I would want a spell that would cause cell phones to hang up. I’m sorry, but it’s kind of annoying when a person comes through my line (I’m a cashier) just talking on their cell phone with no sign of stopping. I exist, and I believe I should not be ignored while I help someone! The name would be ‘Aspectus’ since it’s Latin for looking (or at least, that’s what an online Latin dictionary told me).

  • If you were to face a boggart, what would it turn into? And what does it turn into when you throw the counter-spell, Riddikulus?
Like a dead person from a horror movie probably, or a monster. My imagination is a very scary place, which is why I can’t watch horror movies. Heck, just going to one of their websites kept me up an entire night once! I thought the demons were going to get me in my sleep. ._. Anyway, with Riddikulus, the person/monster would probably sprout colorful flowers all over their body.

  • What do you look for in a friend?
Someone fun-loving, outgoing, trustworthy, loyal, sarcastic, funny, optimistic, and competitive. Being a little bit of a tomboy wouldn’t hurt either, since I’m a little bit of one myself. xD!!

  • What trait most annoys you about other people?
When someone is pessimistic all the time! I know life isn’t always sunshine and roses, but people also need to understand that it’s not always gloom and doom either. And life is what you make of it; if you decide that your day is going to be horrible before it’s even begun, then yes, it probably will! But if you try to look at all the good things, you’ll be happier and the day will go much better.

  • What do you think are your top five abilities or qualities?
I’m a great listener. I have friends that will come to me and talk about their problems, and I enjoy knowing that I can be there for them. I’m also very loyal to the people I care about, and I’m a determined person when I really want something. I can keep a cool head in stressful situations, especially when other people are involved. I don’t panic so I can keep those around me calm. And lastly, I adapt easily to anything. My transition to dorm living was very smooth, no big problems. At work, I’ll do just about any job they tell me to, which was the same for soccer and being able to play every position (except goalie).

  • What do you think are your top five weaknesses or worst qualities?
I’m quiet and find it hard to share my opinion at times. It’s very frustrating. My procrastination on things can lead to bad situations. I actually made myself sick with stress trying to finish a project at the last minute (seriously, I think I finished an hour before it was due!). My lack of worry can put people off. It takes a while to actually get into my ‘friend’ category, if only that I’m still getting used to people and can actually become annoyed by those attempting to get close to me. And if I’m not interested in something, it takes me a while to get motivated to actually do it.
