Okay okay okay. Haha. Mini update: got it back from the garage. But erm... Saturday... i was driving it to H's with him in the passenger seat. And literally, as i pulled up at his place, he points to the weird flap thing in the dashboard in front of me that's kind of like a bottomless glove compartment... kinda useless really... and said: why is there smoke coming from your dash? And omfg, how i missed it i don't know, it was literally RIGHT in front of me. But omfg i was like: omgomgomgomgomg get out get out get out get out *gets out real quick*. But haha for some reason, passengers can no longer get out of the car from inside... shall have to figure out why some day... so he was like: i can't, i can't! So haha i rushed round to his side to unlock the door with the key and got him out (tbh locking and unlocking ANYthing on that car is a challenge in itself... especially when you're a bit panicked :P). We wandered round the front and some icky brown liquid was leaking onto the floor.

However, today, i got my mum to look at it (lol)... i'd left it outside H's all weekend. And the icky brown liquid was rusty WATER lol. The band thing on the water hose... is it called a clasp? Eh, well, whatever, was loose, so water was leaking from the hose before it got to the engine and did its job of cooling it. And so, we're thinking... and hoping... that the smoke was, in fact, steam, and that the engine had simply overheated. Tbh, i didn't look at the temperature gauge at the time...

So, today was quite surreal. The parents met each other, because H's Mum & step dad pulled up as mum & i were hovvering over the mini's engine. So they came over and chatted and stuff, and then invited us in for a cuppa tea :D H was unaware of our presence until his step dad woke him up... shall tell you why he was asleep in a min. But he came down and joined us for a drink at their table. Strange way for the parents to meet really lol. They were impressed with mother's mechanical knowledge and skills ;) Mwaha :D

Pictures from The Gallery's (shopping centre, not actually gallerys :P) carkpark... before the wheel came off on the way home...

Teehee Bil & i tried on fancy dresses. Well, me moreso than her... lol... i've never really worn fancy dresses before, so i wanted to :D Lmao i think H overanalysed WHY i did this *laughs*. These aren't all that fancy, but they were sooo niice... we were both tempted haha.

So, anyway, enough of that.
Sometime last week, Bil & i went to Chew Valley lake... and, well, no matter how many times i go there, i can't help but take pics :P We found a bit that we didn't know about... a little path that goes around the lake and goes through grassland and ponds and things :D

Friday evening, i went to H's friends' house, to celebrate a birthday. Was nice and relaxing :) His friend er... offered some insight... into what h is thinking though, i guess. Put it this way, he initiated the "couple conversation". Lol. Not a negative one. Just abut the future and stuff. Apaprently on Sunday the two of them sat in a pub and talked in great depth about H's life and... us. It was kind of nice though, this convo we had on Friday. Bit weird having some one listening to us :P But tbh, without his friend, we would never have had that convo. In fact, lmao, his friend got so frustrated with us because we're so indecisive and i think we both avoid confrontation, so we did wander off the track a bit... he kept threatening to bash our heads together lmao. So, that was nice :)

On Saturday, i did some wandering with H. Had some errands to run together. And then, FINALLY, at like, gone 7pm, we leave for Weymouth for the night. Got there at about 9, but it took til gone 10 to find a suitable hotel. Lol. Then we dumped our stuff and went out for a couple of drinks. We went to a Wetherspoon's at first (lol :P), and omg. Just like in Bristol on a Sat night... so CROWDED, full of young chavvy people and scantily clad women, and so much noise it was not possible to converse. I did, however, try their Bulleit Break cocktail. So nice! V v v v sweet... kind of tasted a bit like sherbert lol. So anyway, after our drihks, we left for an old man pub. More our scene i think lmao. And there, we sat down by a shelf thing full of flyers for different touristy things. And H spotted one for a daytrip to either Guernsey of Jersey. We decided to go and got back to the hotel at about 12:30 or so, and the owners were just packing up at the bar, so we asked them about the trips and ended upg etting a taxi booked to take us to the port... at 5:45am :| managed to get up though, and we did indeed go to Guernsey.

Neither of us took any photos though :S We should have done... just totally forgot. So, anyway, we had a long day there. The weather was niice :) And omg the sea was so clean and pretty! Not used to that, being from ENGLAND n all, where the sea is mostly disgusting and polluted. Ick. Man the channel islands seem to be fixated on WW2 though. I suppose they have an interesting story to tell, what with German occupation and all, but... geez. The island had about two hospitals, two schools and five war museums. Two of which H took me to. Alright if you're into that kind of thing... i suppose it was quite interesting though. We tooks buses all over the island and also went to the Folk Museum, where we saw, amongst other things, how cider would have been made way back when. Maybe still is somewhere lol. that was quite interesting. They had these trnslation cards where they'd give you the Guernsey French translation for key words. Now, i don't know much about French :P But some of it is quite different. Lol i was comparing it to the feeble GCSE French i did three, four years ago. Haha. Was interesting though.

We found a really cool restaurant to eat at lunch. It was so cool. Quite altnerative, inasmuchas lots of it was spicey stuff. And the decor was very Eastern. And they had this big garden outside, which was soooooo full up. Very nice :D They did a good veggie burger :D :P And apple juice :D

We also went to the old ruined German barracks overlooking the sea. That was niiiice :)

I've never been to any of the channel islands before, so i noticed quite a mix in culture. Very French... and obv English influences also. I'm sure some German too. But man i dunno how people could live there. There is nothing to do, leisure-wise, or career-wise. And the properties are SO expensive :| I guess it's just a place for rich retirees and tourists. Saw no one my age there. It seems that everyone leaves the island when they become a teenager and return when they're old and rich. Lol.

The ferry back to Weymouth was delayed. Which sucked because it had gone 10pm by the time we boarded. It was absolutely freezing. And i was sooooo tired. But it was too cold to sleep. And, luckily with only half hour to go, i got stomach pains... maybe it was indigestion... don't really know what that's meant to feel like tbh lol. But it really hurt :( I'd moved to the seat in front of where H & i were sitting, in attmept to sleep more comfortably. Which failed. So i moved back and woke him up asking for painkillers, which he didn't have lol. And omg i finally drifted off like 20 minutes or so before we docked. Bit annoying! We then got a taxi back to the hotel's carpark where H's car was, and i drove us back because he had work at 8:30 this morning, thus needed sleep! But omfg. You know when you're so tired that it takes a while to focus when you move your eyes? And you actually have to literally squint because they're getting so sore from being open? That's how i was. So, not really good state to drive in. But, my reactions were just about good enough to stop when a fox tried to run in front of me. Twice. Much to H's annoyance. He doesn't appreciate animals :( And doesn't believe in slowing down or stopping for them when they run into the road :( He was even less impressed since the sudden braking threw him forward and woke him up. Shock, horror, lol. He even said: fuck the fox. :( But i defended it... rather grumpily, given the state i was in lol. Finally got to bed at about 3am this morning.

Omfg, this has taken so long to write :|:|:|:| I must stop. Good night
