http://s152.photobucket.com/albums/s171/plasticus/St%20Louis%202008/ There are some photos. Alex and I went to St. Louis last week for a few days of fun. We tried St. Louis style pizza (Alex loved it, I thought it was okay), went to the zoo, learned to ride Segways, looked at EVERYTHING in the science center, and most importantly, went to see Tom Waits at the Fox Theater. I would argue that Tom Waits is the greatest live performer ever. It helped that we had second row seats. It made me miss playing with Yeti on a Budget, because it was quite inspiring.
Segways are a ton of fun, but I don't think I'd ever own one. They're expensive for what they are. Better off to just get a nice bike. We did get cool driver's licenses, though.
Drew's living with us off and on, now. He's working some traveling job, and they want him based out of Des Moines. It's cool that he's doing a job that's interesting to him, and even though our house is getting pretty full, he's paying rent. I like being able to talk to my brothers once in a while.
We got a Roku player. It's a device that you plug into your TV (same as any A/V device) and hook it up to your wireless network, then it'll play Netflix Instant Play movies/tv shows. It's awesome. We've been watching all kinds of stuff on it. Kind of pricey, but there are no recurring fees to use it (aside from having a Netflix account). Eventually we'll probably just keep it hooked up to the tv by the treadmill, and I'll use it to watch News Radio while I jog.
A couple months ago we went to Oshkosh, WI. Next month we're going to Omaha, NE. We're driving quite a bit this year, considering the price of gas. It's really good times, though.
Be out.
