Im sorry to hear that your great-grandfather passed away. I just wanted to say that having read your post, what you're feeling is similar to what I went through when my grandmother passed. I still love her and you will always love your great grandfather. I know you feel at a loss and feel that you wish that there were so many things you could have said and done, but that's normal.
Im sure he knew just how much he meant to you, regardless of the frequency that you went to visit. Older people have the knack to put things into perspective, that us young people are living our live just as they did when they were younger, and they take comfort in hearing our stories of how we're growing up and developing.
I can imagine your great grandfather must have been very proud of you to have seen you grow up into such a beautiful and sensitive young lady. Give yourself that time to mourn, life will not pass on that fast without you. You can always carry him in your memories and heart and still live life, just hold on to those happier times that you shared and celebrate his very full life.
All my love,
Mya
