Yesterday was pouring down rain, but we did make it out of the house eventually and went to the
Cantor Arts Center on the Stanford campus. I was shocked by what a great museum it was. They have a massive collection of art from all over the world. It's so big that we only got to see about a third of it, but it's free so we can go back at any time. Also, I love being able to read the plaques next to the art, something I really missed living in Japan.
I was both horrified and enthralled by these beautifully detailed boots made for women with bound feet.
I loved the color of this robe, also from China
Before we left Japan, C had to get rid of all of his spices, so we went on a restocking mission today at an amazing Indian supermarket. Since my zip car card hasn't arrived we went by train and ended up walking for hours and hours, which is actually pretty good. It means we can eat more curry!
