tattoos, what?

had a dream last night that I got tattoos, one on the inside of each wrist. the one on my left wrist said seek. and the one on my right wrist said create., like they were my life mission statements. they were really quite beautiful, I thought, a chunky crisp black serif font right on there. if I ever got any tattoos I think they'd have to be words. I love the look of text, of any kind. I like looking at people's handwriting when it's in a big block, on unlined paper. there's something so beautifully raw about it.

or maybe a few words on the arch of my foot or something. really, though, isn't the idea of summing up your personal goals in life in a tattoo interesting? like documentation on your actual person, as a reminder and a souvenir. and I think I like my subconscious' choices.
