I have had similar things happen when I was in College, there is always those that have that same complex that they need to fill, and usually it results in having complaints filed against them, I have even had a cop pull me over for a broken tail light (Which wasn't broken) and then harass me about seeing me before and claiming to have arrested me, all in the presence of my children. And finally after he couldn't even so much as write me a real warning, he told me to get the light fixed, (which again wasn't broken) and threw my license at me, literally, and walked away. It just so happens that I do a bit of work for that particular police department with their vehicle graphics, and I know their chief of police on a first name basis. He told me that that particular officer has had complaints against him in the past and that he was 1 warning short of suspension. I gladly remedied that. I just don't think there is any need for people to act that way because they are giving the authority to do so.
