Reddit's been a wonderful source for news on the shooting today. Some 18 year old kid's been up since last night, and creating a timeline. I didn't know anything was happening until I went to FB with a stirring speech from the mayor that I wanted to share (re: transit), and saw someone mention something about it. I hopped over to FARK, they've actually had some good coverage during these sorts of events, but it was mostly just crude comments and trolling. So I hopped over to Reddit and found multiple witness accounts, a redditor who had been shot and shared pictures of his wounds, and fellow newshounds.
A terrible tragedy. I'm very curious to learn more about the shooter though.
In other news, although it seems such a minor thing in light of today's events, is that I *finally* got the job offer from P. I start my orientation 8/6, and go in next week to fill out a bunch of paperwork. Pay is... I have no complaints. It will be nice to actually pull my weight around here, plus this will help put us on track for the Great Migration. My task now is to nail down every single psych drug they want me to know. A considerable list.
My finger is also improving. Still significant swelling and the scar tissue dramatically dulls my touch sensation. Hopefully I'll be able to use it soon enough. I study by writing.
