We saw "The Kids Are All Right" last night.

We loved it.  The sound system in the theater we were in wasn't great, but it didn't matter.   The dialogue was so well done, so absolutely true to how families are, it was amazing.  Time after time, Ray and I grabbed each other's hands to hold, the emotion was so poignant, the script so heartful.  It mattered not at all to us that the leads are playing a lesbian couple.  Anyone who's in a longterm relationship, with kids, can understand what's going on.  The acting was perfect, believable.  Great cinematography.  And line after line kept coming back in my memory last night and today.  My favorite?  When Nic, Annette Bening's character, says in disbelief to another couple they are dining with, "Can you believe that we're composting now?".
