My husband. Ebony chewed on his bathrobe and I offered to patch it. The robe is synthetic fleece in a dark blue plaid. The most suitable fabric I had with which I could cover the hole is leftover purple corduroy from Emily's curtains. So I sewed it on today. I just took it in to show Ray before hanging it up in the bathroom where it will be safe from Ebony's teeth. My sweet hubby took one look and said, "That's cute!". Awww....
This house: we have windows open all over the place, fresh air coming in. The inner door in the dining room, which faces south, is open and light abounds in here.
My daughter: because of all the open windows, outdoor sounds are coming in too. Emily announced to me a short while ago that she's been hearing a hawk outside today. I love having a daughter who knows that sound. Also speaking of sounds, she and Cameron watched the movie Touch the Sound with me yesterday, after we got the tremendous news. I hadn't seen the film in ages, and it was wonderful to share it with those two. Cameron, whose passion is music the way Emily's is visual art, was absolutely transfixed at times. If you've never seen it, Touch the Sound is about a fabulous world-class percussionist from Scotland originally, who happens to be 80% deaf, although that's truly only one dimension of this complex human being.
