So, today
As Ray has noted, I took today off ostensibly to keep a doctor's appointment which then got cancelled. I decided to still take the day off. I get kinda worn out sometimes, what with how demanding our customers can be. Plus my brother's coming tomorrow to visit for the first time in a couple of years, I believe.
I wasn't sure what I'd do today. Gardening was unlikely, as it rained or was very overcast much of the morning. So cleaning it was. I've been dissatisfied with the performance of the sealant I used on the kitchen floor for a while. It would dry very unevenly, leaving gloppy pseudo-inkblot patterns. It built up badly, turning yellow and therefore discoloring the appearance of the floor. Every time I wash it, these days, I use a stripper to remove some of the buildup. I can't get it all off at one time - it's too hard on my arms and back - but each time, I get rid of a little more. Today I went back to using the original sealant made by the floor manufacturer - Armstrong - and what a difference. It dries smooth, even, and it dries fast. I'm never going to use off-brand again!
