I'm singin' the health insurance blues

I don't have a headache, but I think it's a miracle I don't.  Just got off the phone with Blue Cross/Blue Shield of WNY.  I think I understand why they sent us a large refund check, and I think I'll be able to explain it to Ray when he gets home.   Maybe.
The way they run their organization is crazy.  When people who work for them can't even explain why they do what they do until they consult with another party in their company, it doesn't bode well.

Hey, it's better than not having medical insurance at all!  And now I know that even though we used our other plan during the time this newer one has been rolled back to, we can get a refund on that one.  There is a system by which bills which were paid under the old one can be withdrawn and resubmitted to the new.  Holy crap.  As I said to the lovely woman at my old employer who's handling this, this is like a second part-time job, keeping track of all of this.

In other news, I was sure we owned a copy of Herbie Hancock's album, River, a Joni Mitchell tribute.  Kept looking for it in my Lotus 1-2-3 file of music we own.  Nope.  Not there.  Until today I took a careful look in the armoire where we store most of our cds.  Yep.  Right there in the H's, where it should be.  No system is perfect, especially when the person maintaining it isn't either.

music, health insurance
