I still have to:
- install the rubber base all around the edge.
- repaint the heat register I cut, as otherwise it'll rust, for sure. Reinstall it, this time drilling new holes for the screws to hold it.
- affix the phone connection to the new baseboard, so it'll be harder to dislodge. Hear that, kitties?
- clean the last bits of random adhesive off the new floor. Sponge mop it again, then seal it with two coats, at least, of polish.
- tile the landing out to the garage and down to the cellar.
- clean things I don't notice need cleaning until the rest of the kitchen looks fresh and new.
- hold down the sofa for a bit, and get some rest.
- bake dinner, which I made kinda sorta while I was doing the last of the tile installation. It's orrichette with green beans, tuna plus some leftover mahi mahi I found in the freezer recently, augmented with coarsely sliced roasted red pepper and parmesan cream sauce.
We've got the windows open for the fresh air, which is relatively warm for this time of year. Lots of lights on so Mrs. Blind-as-a bat I can see where the new floor needs spot cleaning.
