The older I get, the more prone I get to recognizing irony in situations.  I had my first mammogram in seven years today.  It went well, far better than the last one, during which the technician chastised me for daring to express dissatisfaction with the discomfort she caused me.
Today, the technician was lovely.  Kind and friendly.  She bothered to rub her hands on her pants to warm them before she touched me!  W00t w00t!
The waiting rooms (the little cubicles where you undress and wait to be called in) numbered only two.    At the last practice I went to, they had hallways of them.  Possibly as many as ten to a hallway, and multiple hallways, which reinforced the cow-going-to-slaughter feeling.
The ceiling in the main waiting room was normal height.  For whatever reason, the one at Windsong at least used to be much higher.  Further reinforcing the barn/cow imagery.
Overall, I'd say I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Seton Imaging to other patients.
Now for the weird part.  Remember Ray's joke about Slam A Car Door On Your Tit Imaging?  As I drove to the appointment, I passed an intersection at which accidents frequently occur.   A handful of cars had pulled over to the side of the road.  Their drivers and presumably, the occupants of the large pickup skewed oddly through the intersection, appeared to be circling around the large cream sedan right in the middle of things.  As I passed, I could see airbags deployed, and an individual slumped over on the passenger side of the car.  I'm guessing the car was locked, and all those people where trying to get it open to help the person inside.
On I went to my appointment.  While I was waiting for the shots to be developed, an employee of Seton came back and spoke to my technician.  She too had passed the accident scene, where she recognized the sedan as the car of a fellow employee, who by that time was late for work and hadn't called, either.  By the time I left, it had been confirmed that it was, in fact, Erin in the car.  She was reported to be okay, but I was sure she was banged up pretty badly.
On the way home I passed a stake truck still there, retrieving her car.  From the look of it, either the accident and/or the rescue efforts ripped the shit out of both driver's side doors.    They aren't going to be slamming on anything anytime soon.
Strange karma.  I wish Erin good luck and good healing after a bad situation.
