So,
Blogging huh? Here goes nothing..
Welcome to PLAnet PLA, A world of me, Pierre-Luc Arseneau. I suppose i'll be using this journal to highlight projects and the life around me as seen through my eyes .
This is a great time to start my Livejournal adventures due to the fact that we (emergeartists.ca) have just finished another kick ass show and that i'm currently not stressing over anything new major projects right now, other then the wedding to my beautiful wife to be, Jenn. But that's months and months down the road, no bid deal right?....wrong. Weddings, from what I've seen and heard are very complex and stressful events. So far i feel we've started on the right foot and things are slowly but surely falling into place nicely, so i'm sure I'll be updating those progressions as the time rolls on.
For the most part, i'd like to keep my journal a record of my creative adventures, both as a visual artist and musician. I have just recently composed and engineered two new tracks which after having an official "screening" of these have generated great interest and have given me great encouragement to hold on to these for the next PLA album (which is shaping up to be ready real soon, stay tuned for more details on that). In my art world, as much as i keep telling myself that i'm on an official break, my brain keeps telling me different. Something inside me won't let me rest my paintbrush and paints, I'm currently working on my residual "skull" era. My first experiments with using a life-sized skull in my artwork was a success with "machination":
So now I've got another smaller skull piece i'm working on which is currently in this state:
I will no doubt be completing this one over the next week or two, simply because i want to finish it up already and i've got it all planned out in my mind, it's just a matter of doing it.
So that's what i've been up to in my visual art world. As for my new tracks i've been slaving away at for the past 2 weeks, you can find them here:
http://www.esnips.com/web/Nowistheonlythingthatsreal So please take a moment and check them out, download them and play them in your favorite player, each track is roughly around 3:30 to 4 minutes, they where all composed with original samples of my synths and a circuit bent Speak & Spell. Send me some feedback!!!!
And that's my first of many posts to come!
enjoy the tunes and stay "tuned" for some new art...
over and out.
