1) AHHH! A boy just asked me out! (okay, technically, he's a grown man, but still--) And my response was to completely miss that he was hitting on me. He had to say, "I am hitting on you." before I got the picture. I don't know if this was an "Amy has no social skills" fail or an "Amy has no self-esteem" fail. We're going out Saturday; I'm still freaking out.

2) I killed my Catwoman shirt. It's supposed to be washed in cold water only. I didn't check to see what the washer was set on before I threw it in. It's still wearable, but it is incredibly tight. On the plus side, my boobs look great it in. On the minus side, I'm probably not going to be wearing it much if I want to breathe.

3) I've forgotten to eat today. The more I get involved in my research and the closer this paper gets to being done, the more I do that. I need somebody to remind me that I cannot live on tea alone. No matter how awesome it would be.

4) I watched Dracula: Pages from a Virgin's Diary. It's a silent, expressionist ballet. I really enjoyed it.

I didn't realize the virgin in the title was Harker. The ballet is very forward about the sex issue, which results in making it seem like Dracula is trying to eat Mina so he can have Harker all to himself. When Harker tells Mina about his visit, it's very obvious that the brides are trying to get into his pants when Dracula stops them because "he belongs to me!" Mina's response to this revelation is to shove Harker against a wall, hit her knees, and undo his trousers. Later, during the final battle, Harker is the only man Dracula doesn't knock unconscious. Though, he does bend Harker over a table and get really close to his neck, despite not eating him. This is also the scene where Dracula grabs Mina and takes her underskirt off to cover up one of the windows so the sunlight won't get in, and then Van Helsing sniffs it and hugs it. CREEPY.

The only real problem I have (and it is minor) is that the ballet seems to be two different parts that have very little to do with each other. Dracula is a minor character in the first ballet, but Lucy is definitely the main character. (She's also a much better dancer than Mina.) The whole first section has little to do with the second half other than explaining where the other men came from (Lucy's suitors and Van Helsing were called in to save her and failed so they declared to take out Dracula where ever he was). Essentially, there are two different ballets with the second being the sequel revolving around the Ensemble Darkhorse, Dracula. I wish there was better integration between the two acts.

Otherwise, I liked it. It's very expressionist. And the weird demon things were awesome.

5) A boy asked me out. Is...is this reality? Did I slip into an alternate dimension again? Is Superman a Soviet? I'm going to go freak out some more.
