"This isn't Europe! We have rules here!"
I just got back from an advanced screening of Forgetting Sarah Marshall. I rather enjoyed it. It's more sophisticated than Superbad and funnier than Knocked Up. But it's still definitely in the same vein as those movies.
All the characters were lovely, but the show was definitely stolen by Russel Brand's Aldous Snow, Jonah Hill's Matthew, and Jack McBrayer's Darald. I loved the scenes between Aldous and Matthew, especially those where Matthew was hitting on Aldous. The scene where Aldous was teaching Darald how to make love using chess pieces was hilarious as well.
I was surprised by the nudity. I expected more boobs (three shots, all in photos, two of the same actress) and less penis (Jason Segel, at least five times). It was mostly used for comedy, but I enjoyed Rachael's picture being returned, even if it was obvious from the moment we saw the picture.
The best scenes were the chess pieces, anything with Jonah Hill, and the Dracula musical. That Dracula musical was easily the best thing I've ever seen in a movie. It was so over the top, you couldn't help but laugh.
In summary: Jonah Hill = awesome, Jason Segel = naked, and Dracula = hilarious.
