Hello!
Here's the happier update I promised earlier.
Well, I'm tired, and I really want to wash my hair (you know when it's not really dirty but you get that gross feeling and this really strong urge to jump into the shower?). I was up at six. I'm getting incredibly bored with animal reproduction.
But folks, the end is in sight. The light at the end of the tunnel of semen collection, cranial nerves, silage analysis and renal tubules is drawing ever-closer. The candle of freedom is burning bright out there in the darkness, in this cold winter of academia, in the desolate wasteland of procrastination shines a bright orb of hope.
God, for someone who's been spending the last hour figuring out the best way to reproduce healthy cattle, that's pretty damn poetic.
Reasons to be happy:
Nutrition went fairly ok, but for that nasty question on fats that I KNOW I didn't answer well. But what of it.
I have a good bit of time before repro... well, tonight and tomorrow until around lunchtime to be precise.
I started a novel- yes, a novel, a book with words and characters and no diagrams of penises... Its called The Big Sleep by Raymond Chandler and its pretty good, in a 1940's gangster detective murder kinda way.
I will see Steve soon, and I promised to go over to his apartment and cook him dinner coz he's sick and I feel neglectful.
I will stop studying soon and have a cup of camomile tea and a snack of some sort, turn on my electric blanket, snuggle down in bed and call Steve and we'll have another conversation that ends kinda awkwardly when we run out of things to say to each other... aww.... miss him :P
Wish me luck tomorrow folks. And the next day. And then... three days after that, and the day after that.
