(no subject)
Wow this has been an insane insane week. Our project presentation finally happenned, and one of our "team" members did NOTHING. And I mean nothing. I sat in the computer room with her sitting at a desk behind me, and listened to her chat as I typed out HER topic. She was internet shopping, and eventually copied and pasted some stuff about HORSES, as opposed to dogs (which is what our project was on) and handed it to us on the morning of the presentation. Needless to say we didn't include it in the finished draft. And she knew no anatomy either. So when Terrifying Examiner Dude grilled me, (me for some reason, no one else in the group!) I didn't get much back up. But the other two were lovely and did loads in fairness.
But I have to say *bragbragbrag* I saved the project- not because I'm smarter or did more, but because I brought in a bag of coloured paper, pritstick, etc and spent my free hour beforehand making little miniature muscles and scapulas and humeruses (?) out of cardboard I begged off the reception desk lady. So our board looked pretty, which it really wouldn't have otherwise. Ali's arts and craft skillz save the day!
But no rest for the wicked- next week we have the joy of two shit-hard MCQs, and then the week after that, another one, and then there was some mention of nervous system test in Anatomy... curses. And all I wanted to do was chop up our little discombobulated greyhound.
But in happy news, life is... busy I'm having something published in the Observer on tuesday I believe. Kickboxiong's going well, I'm kind of almost getting the hang of my black belt syllabus and I have tomorrow off so breathing space! For a while.
Now to play guitar...
