(no subject)
Ok. Didn't go out last night. Was too late after I managed to catch up on friends-list! And was a bit trashed as well as a bit tired. So went to bed. Somehow had not managed to change weekday alarm on phone, so that went off at 7:30. Switched it off and then at 8:30 Dell called about "Hi, I'm calling to arrange delivery of Your Laptop"!!! I'm not quite sure if they were wanting to deliver it today (5 days after ordering!!!) because I said quite quickly and flabbergastedly, once I registered what was going on, "Not today!", and the lady said "okay, Monday? between 9 and 1pm?", and I said "excellent!. Laptop! As soon as I get home! *Excited*
But then tried to go back to sleep. Didn't make LS's (little sister's) regular local cafe for brekky :(, went to met BS (big sis) and her boy (nym! BSB) at midday. Had a nice stroll up to Circular Quay and met them at pier 4. We took a ferry over to Watson's Bay for a seafood lunch at Doyle's on the beach (established 106 years ago). Possibly a little expensive, but really really good. Starters: calamari, mussels and oysters. Mains: platter, moreton bay bugs, john dory. Then to the aquarium, also good, possibly the best platypus display I've seen. Also a good seal pool, and oceanarium (sharks). And lots else. I think Melb Aq is a bit more slick (and better cnidarian displays), but it did seem to keep going and going.
The back to meet LS and lovely workmates (name names? since they'll probably never ever get mentioned here again: Andrew, Tim, Al, Jo, Tom, Tristan, um...) for after work drinks. Then delish dinner cheap at a nearby thai place (the pad thai for me). THEN taxi to Green Bay Hotel for a drink (near where BS was having dinner). Quite liked it, but 3 nights drinking in a row is a bit much. Don't process alcohol so well on the second night even. Wow, just had to go back and correct so many typos there. Am a bit trashed. Met up with BS and her friends for a quick dirty martini. And now am home again. Am liking the go out all day and come home and recap. May have to get broadband when NEW LAPTOP ARRIVES!!!
