So I'm back from a lovely week in Sunny Perth.
Highlights:

1. Mum's surprise party went very very well (and surprisingly).
2. The election news (thanks
   speshal_k), wherein I was totally rude and kept checking my phone at the dinner table.
   
3. Discovering Perth has become a thriving metropolis with an "underground"!  Hee.  Seriously though, the amount of construction was a bit scary - cranes everywhere.
   
4. The beach.
5. Managing to reach some kind of zombie-like mental state enabling my subconscious to take over the driving and guide us almost everywhere we needed to go.
6. Dinner at
   speshal_k's (5 didn't work for here though, had to use a map).
7. The Artrage closing party.
