Had a quick chat with my Mum on Sunday and found out she'd been in Costa Rica for the past two weeks. Crikey, no one in this family tells anyone anything! But yay Mum! She deserves more holidays (although it was combined with recuperation and enforced time off work

I'm only up to 11, nearly 12. I have no idea where he gets the time.

T, where do you get the time?

I'm not working any overtime, I get ~1.5 hours public transport a day on a good day, has been longer with the Jan-Feb Melb PT shenanigans (delays), and am having rather quiet weekends at the moment! Hardly any extracurricular activities apart from reading.

Oh, also, the first handful of books were actually just finished off from last year!

I do find myself wasting many weekend hours in particular just faffing about.

I also suspect you (and perhaps K) may tend to the heavier lit and/or nonfic. So far this year I think my selection has tended toward light and fluffy and definitely stuff I want to read rather than what I think I should read. I'm still reading 2 "heavy" type books very intermittently, both of which I started last year.

Possibly, but for every thick, richly textured historical fiction or non-fic book there is a David Eddings equivalent. I think they balance out.

Hm, for you 1:1, for me 0:21, I like those ratios... (no insult meant to my 21, didn't *quite* mean to compare you to Eddings, for whom I yet hold a special place in my bookshelf).
