Hand model dreams dashed.

I currently have three (3) burns on my hands from cooking.  Toaster burn on knuckle of right thumb, several fried onion burns on back of left hand, cookie tray blister on right index finger.

Hypotheses:
1. Out of practice after break from cooking;
2. Alcohol;
3. Brain tumour (kuru? leprosy? M.S.?).

5. Subconscious telling you to quit eating and sleeping in order to get journal paper written.

HA! :-P

P.s. last night came across instructions (so far have had instructions from 4 diff pages of their website) for double-spacing tables which is gonna split them across pages and add pages (already 5 pages over max!), plus equation format/font size/length which may be a bitch to do (they have to be a certain font size when reduced and fit into a "column"), PLUS each figure is meant to be on a separate page (adds three pages). Blah. Whinge. Vent.

I'm not sure if it's correct, but I tend not to count tables and figures in the page count. (Unless it's one of those journals that has a page charge if it's over length?) I haven't come across "font size when reduced" before - I'd have thought that'd be the copyeditor's job to deal with.

If you like, send me the equations and I'll have a crack at formatting them.

Will they let you put the equations in a table that goes across the whole page instead of in the text, in columns?

Just emailed ya. They do seem rather more detailed than I recall other instructions to authors :-( They're pretty strict on the page length (won't accept rather than charge for more than 60 pages). But they do charge (seems like a lot) for colour :-P

Most of the figures can be redesigned to work in black and white easily enough (time-consuming, though). Unfortanately, this will make them larger. May need to be picky about which to include, and which not.
