I'm going to be unabashed here and say that he gravitated to Astrid immediately because she reminded him of Rose: blonde, making do with her boring life, dreaming of something more.

I love you for being able to find Rose in all of this. <33333

I mostly wasn't thinking about how Astrid might remind the Doctor of Rose. Though I'm thinking it really HAD to suck watching her die and not being able to do anything about it. Rose into the void all over again.

But you are TOTALLY right. Astrid reminded me a little of a younger, slightly more eager Rose without any ties. (WHY did Astrid seem so young? Isn't Kylie Minogue something like 40 years-old?)

5. He has already said "Take me to your leader!" Nine said that in "Aliens of London." IS THE DOCTOR'S MEMORY THAT SHORT?!

OMG, I KNOW! THEY SHOULD HIRE US AS EDITORS, NINA. YESSSSS! THIS JUST PROVES IT!

7. On a related note, when David Tennant says "I'm a Time Lord" it gives me this very intense tingle of pleasure. Anyone else feel that?

Pretty much everything DT did in this episode made me tingle. You know that part near the end! When he's doing that slow-mo walk with the fire burning behind him? STUPIDEST THING EVER, AND YET I DON'T EVEN CARE.

8. WHERE WAS BILLIE PIPER IN THE S4 TRAILER?!!?!! WHERE?!! FUCKING FUCKETTY FUCK! ASSHOLES!!!!
