Much of what subject associations have on offer is slowly being eroded by aspects of Web 2.0

A recent post to the eChalk list by a tertiary graduate in WA is encouraging teachers to direct their own PD, form partnerships and run their own events. As it was noted:

A post on another list mentioned the problem of dealing with bloated Word DOC files that refuse to shrink in size.

I have had more luck using the ODT file format for word processed files. The open document format is in fact a compressed zip file (sneak a peak inside by just renaming the extension) bundled with objects and an XML file.  Only ( Read more... )
