A brief reflection

First of all, thankyou to anyone who prayed for me over the past week re my night shifts and the 'scary' consultant. The 7 nights were the most chilled nights I've ever had!!!! The first night and the last were the busiest, and even then, only till ~ 3am. The other ones were so chilled, I was reading a novel (The Silmarillion) during them!!!
As for the 'scary' consultant, he was actually pretty nice to me....offered to make me a cup of tea after my first ward-round with him!!!!! So I guess we got off to a good start....folk still maintain the fact that he's scary, but Lord knows that that hasn't been my experience of him....and I'm definitely grateful that I didn't get to experience his 'scary' side during a set of night shifts. Thanking God for His covering :-)

And now I've got a week off!!!! It's great to just have time to chill, and tidy my flat. Due to being broke, I can't indulge in a shopping spree :-( but my time will come ;-)

However,.......in other news, I've been rather occupied in preparations for a 'party' I'm having tomorrow night. It's a celebration of my 10 year anniversary of leaving Nigeria to come to Scotland!!!! The time has flown by,.....I have changed sooooo much (not just the accent either)......and above all, God has been faithful to the promise He gave me before I left - praise Him!

I'm intrigued to see how life goes over the next 10 years......obviously taking it one day at a time. Scary and yet exciting too.
I'm hoping tomorrow goes well, it's kinda going to be my biggest hosting event ever, and my lounge has had to be re-arranged inorder to accommodate all the guests! *Thanks to my friend who is secretly an interior designer at heart :-)

life, anniversary, work
