Brittany Murphy -- November 10, 1977-December 20, 2009.

I was saddened today to find out that of the loss of Brittany Murphy. I had always enjoyed her work -- Clueless, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Girl, Interrupted, Sin City and Spun, in particular. I also liked her in "King of the Hill." Elaine pointed out how odd it is that the series was canceled and her death followed not long after. Did you know she also did the voice of Colleen in the "Futurama" movie The Beast with a Billion Backs?

There is a lot of speculation as to why it happened. Well, I think it's best not to do that. Everyone wants answers when something so sudden and tragic happens, and some of those same people immediately assume that it is by sinister means that they must feel the grief of someone lost. It really isn't our place to say what happened, until we really know. (Lest we forget what happened when Michael Jackson died, and many assumed that he went the way of Elvis, only to discover that he was murdered.)

Today, I watched Sin City. Of all of the movies she was in, she looked the most beautiful in that one.

Rest in Peace.
