So, I went home for the long weekend to visit Mum and Dad, and she'd put out a new picture of me on the chest of drawers in my room. I didn't recognize the outfit I had on in it, or the location, so I asked how old the picture was, placing myself at around 12-14 in it. And Mum looked at me like I'd gone insane, and informed me that Cousin D had taken in *last year*. So I only missed guessing *my own age* by around 20 years. And now I have no leg to stand on when other people do it, sigh.
In other news, since I've once again been very bad about posting, I have been busy at work (surprize, surprize). I'm back up to 7 minions, from 3, and somehow up to 5 instruments running full time instead of 3. And theoretically they're going to order me another, as our oldest keeps throwing tantrums and the service tech. is convinced that one of us will sneeze and it will die for good (they're only around 120K each, so..... eeep). The newest one is actually a used instrument we bought in a hurry, saving us close to 200k which they're been letting me spend on cool toys. Except now I have to learn how to use the toys and write up all the procedures for them. While trying to be a regular tech as well.
When ignoring work, I've been sewing again in preparation for Anime North! Only 4 days and I get to go to one of the most fun events of my year. And as usual Tangeriner and I have decided to wear costumes which will be far too hot and I'll spend the whole time going 'this looks terrible, but I don't care' - which probably drives Tangeriner nuts, but her outfits are always perfect and make me feel insecure :D. However, on the plus side, this year mine does not involve white (fake) fur, and hers does, so at least I'll boil to death second.
And then after that I have to scrub the entire house from top-to-bottom, as the girls are coming here for vacation this year. I hope they can stand the excitement levels in my home town (last year's big excitement - they made one intersection right turn only. People still get confused).
