Character: Ana
Timeline: Before her dance with Ninten, and the following robot attack.

Personality:

At first glance, Ana is seems to be a typical RPG heroine: sweet and caring, but very fragile and weak in battle. However, there’s a little more to this little girl.

Ana is a girl with a mission: To help defeat the alien invade Giegue, and to save her mother, who has mysteriously disappeared with the arrival of the alien invaders. While she may be shy, she has been gifted with powerful psychic powers to aid her in her quest, along with some wonderful friends.

As a child growing up in a chapel with overprotective parents, she was sheltered greatly, so she’s quite shy and quiet. You can often find her with her nose in a book rather than playing with other children. More often than not, that book is the bible, as she is a faithful Christian. As such, she is well read and is easily the most intelligent member of the team, sans the token genius. Of course, coming from such a sheltered environment means that she has her share of naivety as well.

Ana’s incredible psychic powers gave her many admirers back home, and made her something of a celebrity. However, despite all of the attention, Ana remained a modest and polite child, truly believing her powers to be a gift from God and to be used for nothing but good. If anything, all the attention she received made her even more shy, as well as self-conscious.
When she first met Ninten and Loid, her two dearest friends, she began to open up out of her shell. Before then, she had never ventured from her hometown alone. While a bit timid and not very brave, she knew that she was destined to help the two boys, and summoned up enough courage to go with them on their journey. Through many battles, Ana gained bravery and confidence. Still, when with strangers, she’s still a bit shy and timid, but very polite and courteous.

Whether it developed through her journey or it was always laden, Ana always had an inner strength to press forward, keeping a smiling and stable face. When she’s scared or upset, Ana tries to take the high road, always trying to remain calm even in the direst of situations. However, she’s still a 12 year old girl nonetheless, so sometimes she just can’t do it. Even so, she always tries never to give up when presented with a challenge.

Ana has a dislike of violence, and will only defend herself if it’s absolutely necessary. It’s because of this that she is very weak physically, and does not fight hand-to-hand well at all. Don’t be fooled, though. Through many fights, Ana’s psychic powers have grown to such an extent that she can instantly knock someone out or worse. However, she is far too gentle and benign to even think of doing so without any reason. She prefers using her healing powers to offense, even back when she was a young girl saving frogs from dissection.

Ana is so shy that making friends is very hard for her, but when she does, she values and loves them deeply. She will stop at nothing to try to help them, even if it meaning fighting and using her offensive powers. When she likes somebody, she will let them know with utmost earnest, and will always try to stay by their side when needed. She's a bit of a romantic as well. It’s rare to find someone she doesn’t like, but if she does, then she will avoid them at all costs. She hates being hurt. Even if she doesn’t like someone, it’s rare to see her get angry with them, unless they truly are being disrespectful.

Background:

Ana was born comfortably into a nice family. She hails from the town of Snowman, an isolated, tiny and cold town. She was born into religion, having a pastor as a father and a chapel as a house. For most of her life, she was happy with just her loving mother and father, and a stack of books.

She attended the town school like every other child her age, but it quickly became apparent that this child was special. At a young age, she began to display psychic powers, such as freezing things with her mind and healing the scraped knees of classmates. These newfound powers gave her a celebrity status within her town, as well as some national fame. This just made her become even shyer.

Her psychic powers grew and grew until she started hearing the thoughts of people and things, as well as saw visions of the future. Again her notoriety grew, and she had to work hard to try to live as much as a normal life as possible. For a while, she was successful.

Then, life started getting strange for the little psychic girl. The once friendly animals of the town turned vicious, and strange, robot-like men invaded her world. Once friendly people became shut-ins, and even worse, some became downright…possessed. She knew there was a supernatural force at work, but she just couldn’t figure out what. And then came the day when her mother was taken during the night, disappearing without a trace.

She began having dreams, dreams that robbed her of her sleep. They were of a boy named Ninten, telling her that he would come to her, and it was her destiny to go with him. Weeks passed by with these dreams, and finally, they came true. Ana bid her father a goodbye before setting off to find her mother, and save the world.

With her two new friends, Ninten and Loid, Ana ventured across America. She learned that the cause of all the strangeness was an alien invasion, and to defeat the head alien, they had to collect the eight lost melodies of Queen Maria, the ruler of a mysterious place called Magicant, whose memory was lost but had brief visions of an alien named Giegue.

Trudging through deserts, exploring haunted mansions, and fighting a dragon were just a few of the tasks that they had to do to receive the melodies. They eventually come across a town in which all the children are parentless, due to circumstances very similar to the disappearance of Ana’s own mother. She learns that the very aliens responsible for her mother’s disappearance had taken an entire town’s worth of adults as well. Seeing this as another reason to keep going, Ana moved forward with even more determination.

After a lengthy walk through a swamp, they make it to the town of Ellay, where they encounter a violent gang of thugs that have overtaken the town. Deciding to lay low and avoid trouble, they slip into a club for some clues. After some encouragement from the stage director, Ana and her friends performed on stage, with the crowd going wild. This angers the new boss of the club, who happens to be the leader of said gang, Teddy. Him and Ninten face off, but Teddy realizes that the kid is strong. Teddy’s parents were killed by animals turned vicious, so he wants his revenge. Kicking poor Loid out of the party, Teddy leads the way towards the ominous Mt. Itoi, where many vicious animals and aliens alike have been seen.

With Teddy’s added strength, fighting through all of the monsters was easier. Reaching a high plateau of the mountain, they find a healer’s house, and decide to take a break. Finding themselves alone while Teddy takes a phone call, Ninten and Ana realized they have developed feelings for each other. Ana is the first to make a move, and just as she asks him to dance, she gets pulled.

Abilities/Additional Notes:

Ana is a powerful psychic, gifted with the ability known as PSI. PSI has three forms: offensive, healing/restoration, and support. Ana is incredibly talented at using PSI, and the list of attacks she can utilize is very impressive.

Offensive PSI: Ana can summon fire, ice and thunder, as well as pure energy beams. In their higher levels, they can instantly knock any monster out, if not kill them. Ana, out of fear of causing great harm, limits herself using these attacks.

Support PSI: Ana can cast shields, protecting against both physical and psychic attacks. At the cost of more energy, she can create Power Shields, shields that not only protect but also bounce back the attack at the attacker. Also, she can break shields and prevent enemies from using PSI themselves. Support PSI can also have a slight offensive use as well. She can paralyze, confuse, blind and put to sleep enemies, usually with good success rates. Stealing PSI energy from enemies is something that she can do too.

Healing/Restoration PSI: Ana is a very accomplished healer; she’s almost as good as healing as she is attacking. Save for deep wounds, and presumably served parts, she can heal almost any injury, even to more than one person at a time. In addition to injuries, she can heal poison, paralysis, sleep and being turned to stone, oddly. Though it takes much of her energy, she can fully revive people from unconsciousness as well.

Ana also possess the ability to talk to animals, teleport, and has telepathy

Sample Journal Post:

“…Do you want to dance?”

[A small girl in a pink dress, complete with ribboned pigtails, suddenly appears on the screen. She’s blushing heavily, and hugging herself with her arms as to make herself seem smaller.]

…Ninten?
[Slowly, she opens her eyes, revealing rather pretty blue ones. Her blush quickly fades, replaced by a look of panic.]

Where-where did you go?

[She’s in what looks like a trashed park, complete with dangling swing sets and a destroyed slide. She takes a few cautious steps forward.]

..Where am I?

[Taking another step forward, she loses her balance slightly and scrapes her leg against a sharp stick. Clutching her leg, she sits down.]

Did..did Giegue bring me here?
It’s so empty.

[Holding back tears, she fails to notice she is being recorded. Green light emanates from under her hand, and when she drops it to her side, the scratch on her leg is gone. ]

Sample RP:

“PK FIRE ALPHA!”

A bust of flame emits from the small girl’s pointed finger, burning the few trees in the way, and blasting back the toothed rabbit about 50 feet. When it hits the ground, it scurries off in a panic.

“…I hate hurting such a cute little thing, but it tried to bite me with those sharp teeth. Maybe Giegue possessed it too?”

The girl begins the walk forward among the singed trees. She gets close to one, and puts her hand on it, sighing.

“…And I hurt the trees too. I wish healing PSI worked on them…”

She knows she can’t dwell on it for much longer. She has to find Ninten and Teddy, and Loid too. She has to get home. She has to do a lot of things, and moving forward from the burnt tree is one of them. She keeps walking.
