It took a longer than I expected to get through the forest. I had to take several impromtu "showers" courtesy of Squirtle thanks to the stupid amount of times I got hit with string shot. I learned to look for the shift in the grass that comes before it and by the end I wasn't getting hit quite so many times

Granted, when I passed through it, all I met were wild Pokemon, and no trainers until I stepped into Pewter city boundaries.

The Caterpie aren't so bad. Maybe you should do resistance training... I bet my Caterpie would love to string shot you till you get over your fear.

I'll definitely be heading back to Viridian at some point for the festival. Just thought I'd take advantage of the fact that most people are heading towards Viridian to make some progress with my journey. After all, Atobe promised free transport back to the city. So I'll use it.
