Collection update + PKMNCOLLECTORS merch!
Hi all! It's been a long while, and today I got a package from my friend Mat that I had been waiting for a long time! Lots of customs, a grail and some other stuff^^
Let's start with the customs!
Mat is really great at customizing figures, and he made me a bunch of shinies of various Pokémon I like! They look amazing, especially since he used metallic paints that really make the figures pop.
The only non-shiny figure here is female Hippowdon - there's no figures of her which is sad because I prefer her colors to the ones of the male Hippowdon.
Now for the official items. Some assorted flat items...
... and some other various stuff. I love that Umbreon, I only casually collect him nowadays as he has WAY TOO MUCH stuff compared to when I started, but the IT'S DEMO style is just too lovely to pass up.
The charm is a custom my friend Rosy got in bundle with a fanzine, and as she didn't need it, she gifted it to me as I love Rattata. Thank you!
I obviously saved the best for last. Of course, it's no collection update if it doesn't feature Hawlucha! Here's the shiny repaint of the Gallery figure. Such a cool sculpt!
But the figure isn't the only Hawlucha related thing I got! Here we have the aforementioned figure, a store display for Furious Fists TCG packs and.....
THIS THING. For those who don't know I collect all items that feature original Hawlucha artwork, and it happens that a unique artwork was used on this box of GariGari lollipops back in the summer of 2016 (https://www.akagi.com/news/2016/160526_2.html).
Food items are sometimes VERY hard to get ahold of, and I hunted an empty pack of this for literal YEARS with no luck. Until, a couple years ago I think, I got a message on Discord from someone who had seen one for sale on eBay. Sadly, I lost access to that Discord account so I can't track down the exact date, or who it was who sent me the link (pssst, if it was you and you're reading this, please let me know!!! You have NO IDEA how happy finally having this makes me). I won the auction for pretty cheap and since seller didn't ship to my country, I had it sent to my friend Mat. Then COVID happened, and I didn't trust sending such a rare item until a few weeks ago XD
So, so stocked to finally hold it in my hands.
And that's everything about my collection update! But there's one more thing I wanted to talk about today^^
Back in 2017, I won this community's merch design contest organized by Hebilea and Areica96. For those who weren't around back then, we had a bunch of items like T-shirts, mugs etc printed with my design. The merch had a very limited run with no reprints, you can see everything in this post of mine.
Well, I have great news for everyone who missed it: with the mods' permission, I uploaded my artwork to Redbubble so everyone can now purchase something with that artwork! Sadly, it appears Redbubble doesn't have the pretty teal color shirts we used in the "official" run, and RB doesn't have keychains or lanyards. BUT they have a ton of other items such as stickers, tote bags etc.
