So here we are in March. It's shaping up to be one crazy spring for me. Especially compared to the relatively stationary winter I had. The fun begins next Sunday, when I head down to Sloshkosh Oshkosh to hang out with my brother. The next day, I'll be in Milwaukee having a meeting about graduate school stuff cause in case you haven't heard, I've been accepted into graduate school there. I'll also probably pay a visit to their local museum, get info about apartments, and pick up tickets for a Decemberists concert there in late May. Also, I have to find time to raid yet another Toys R Us to get yet another event Pokemon (I'm addicted!). Then long drive back to Eau Claire. Then, the next Sunday, I'm meeting my parents in the Wisconsin Dells. They're staying overnight, so I can stay with them if I want. I'm not sure if I will though, we'll see how it goes. The Sunday after that, Pokemon Platinum comes out. Not only do I already have my copy reserved at target, but I also have a 5 dollar gift certificate for Target that I plan to use on it. I also have already put a 5 for down payment, so I'll only have to pay about 25 when I go to pick it up. I don't have anything scheduled yet for a few weeks after that, though I'm sure Pokemon Platinum and Persona 4 will ensure I have no social life. Mid-April, the madness begins anew. I'll be heading to Minneapolis for yet another Final Fantasy concert and general silliness with friends. The weekend after that, I'll be driving first to my parents house, then to Chicago for a live performance of This American Life. This will be kin of a dress rehearsal for another performance they'll be doing in later that week in New York that is going to be beamed into movie theaters all across the country. If i really wanted to, I could also go to that too, but I probably won't. Then I don't have anything until late May, when I'm going to a Decemberist concert in Milwaukee that I mentioned way back at the beginning of this paragraph, to which I'm now becoming a bit nostalgic about. And of course, somewhere in all this madness, I'll be hearing back from the other grad schools I've applied too. So I might also have to work a trip to the Pacific Northwest into this as well. And hopefully sometime during this week, I'll get my taxes down (I'm going to try to do them myself. It probably won't be fun). But best of all, as the weather gets better, that means I'll be able to get back on my bike! I probably should take it to get fixed up tomorrow.
So you might be wondering what'll happen with the updates? Well, I don't intend to miss a single one. In fact, this week, I'll be working on a buffer, so I'll always have something ready to go in case I don't get to it. I've got a lot of topics on my mind, of course. There's still the Pokemon one that I have actually finished as of Friday! It needs to be edited to hell and back though. And I'm working of another recipe which will off course feature pictures, only this time with a twist. This time, the pictures will move. But I shan't say anymore because I might decide not to do it after all, or it might turn out crap. I do want to try my hand at editing videos, since my computer does have the software and the power to make it so.
I'm pretty proud of myself with this entire "year of updates" blog so far. Yeah, this is pretty much a blog, and that would make me a blogger. Nevertheless, I'm still pumped about this, and I plan to stick to my original goal. I'm not sure how things will go after I enter graduate school though, so we'll see. The only thing I'm not totally happy about is that some of my more recent post kind of have a rushed feel to them. I need to work on planning out my thoughts a little better. That being said, I did write the bulk of this on Wednesday. Today, I've been mostly editing it. So yeah, I'm really looking forward to this spring. Twenty aught nine is really shaping up to be my year!
