One of those days
My computer at work crashed on me today. Multiple times, so I finally shut it off and used my mom's for the day, but ugh. It will just completely freeze up, then go blue-screened and sometimes won't load up at all because of a hard disk error. So this is serious, and probably not repairable. Especially considering our tech guy told me over a year ago that the motherboard was going out.
I needed a new computer anyway. That one was too old and slow and couldn't handle the programs I need to run. So it's not that big a deal that I need something new. I was even able to save copies of all my important files to the server, so I won't lose anything. It's just a pain, especially since I have to do payroll tomorrow, and my computer was the only one that had the payroll program installed. (The company file, with our our data, is on the server, at least.) I may go to Office Depot later today and see what they've got, because otherwise we'll have to order one from Dell, which will take at least a week, and our track record with Dell computers leaves a lot to be diesired.
Argh.
On a brighter note, I got another 100 on my second Intro to Graphic Design assignment, and the teacher was really impressed with my work. So yay me! I also got 100 on my first Photoshop project, but on ly 90 on the second. BAH. (Yes, I am a perfectionist.) Oh well, it's still good. Now I know that teacher is really picky, and will be more careful in the future to make sure everything's absolutely perfect before submitting it.
