Looks like I'm going to have to watch the Super Bowl this year
I'm normally not much of a sports fan. But I AM a Chicagoan, no matter how long I may have lived in Florida, so with the Bears about to win the play-offs, it's looking like my Super Bowl Sunday will actually be spent waching the game.
I remember watching Super Bowl XX with my family. I was 9, and we were still in Illinois, and I wasn't really that interested in the game itself. Mostly, I just liked the "Super Bowl Shuffle" (which I still know most of the words to), and thought it was cool that we won. "The Refrigerator" Perry, Walter Payton, Jim McMahon, Mike Singletary... I still remember all of their names. All the "Superfans" skits that SNL did in the years following that never failed to crack us up because they were SO TRUE. Hard to believe that was 21 years ago. God, I feel old.
What would be really interesting is if the Patriots wintheir division championship. It'll be a true rematch. And we'll kick their asses again. *g*
In other news, I'm feeling rather accomplished today. This weekend, I've managed to finish FOUR of my design school assignments. The last two for the Intro course and the first two for the Photoshop course. I just did the last Intro assignment this afternoon, though I'm not completely satisfied with it, so I might not turn it in right away. I need to read over it some more, see if I missed anything important.
It's nice to finish a weekend feeling like you actually did something productive.
