Resolutions and Fic Pimpin' time~
Happy New Year everyone!
Ok... Yes, I need to write fics. I will. Soon. D: But I've been using a lot of my time reading fiction and practicing my instruments (senior recital this semester!) so I've been busy. Also... partying. :) I've already been trying to do right by my many resolutions for the new year. It shouldn't be too hard to keep them:
-Read 25 books in 2011
-Limit to 2 cups of coffee a day
-Drink a lot more water
-Go on more walks with my dog
-Have a lot more fun with my friends~
The first resolution I've already been working on, and I got one book in my 25 down! And I have many other books to read, but I'll do a report on the first one, Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare in the next post. Anyways, I want to be more productive and healthy in 2011, and this is a good start.
Also! It's pimp time! I haven't recced a fanfic as of yet, but I felt like I really need to do this one. The other day I read Arithmancy by naturegirlrocks from the hp_mhealthfest last year and I was completely touched by it. I didn't cry (thank god) but several times I wanted to. Draco, who's life in Sixth year is rapidly spinning out of his control, finds order in carefully determining the value of his food. Harry is unknowingly very concerned for Draco as he's been watching him all year, and my favorite moment was when Harry gives Draco a backhanded compliment of how thin he is and Draco secretly being very happy by this.
It's a wonderful alternate for Half-Blood Prince and I really enjoyed reading it. Go read it now. :)
