My thanks to
lexzilla and
latech for the birthday wishes today! I got some work done, had dinner out with my mother, and feel ready to crash out now. I'm such a partier!
I've been working on proofing my NaNo novel, slowly but surely. I need to dedicate more time to it since I haven't worked on it at all this week. It's been a useful process so far and the biggest challenge seems to be identifying issues but not tackling them immediately. I'm seeing all sorts of little things that can be easily cut out to provide better story flow or character development. I think it's a good sign that I'm not clinging to every word, regardless of how out of place it might be. So, this seems like a good sign. I just need to get on it again!
Mainlining television has been my thing this week. I've been catching up on Hart of Dixie, Revenge, Don't Trust the B* in Apt. 23, and keeping up with General Hospital. Love Revenge SO MUCH! And though I was saddened by the cancellation of One Life to Live, I'm completely sucked in with the character appearances and tie-ins on General Hospital.
I have loved the actor that plays John McBain (Michael Easton) ever since he was Tanner Scofield on Days of Our Lives back in the early 90's. Now that he's guesting on GH, I listen to the show on Hulu while I'm working and whenever he comes on, I swear I just stop everything to listen to his voice. Anyone remember him in VR.5? I loved that show too, even though he was only in it every now and then.
It's only a week before I go to New Orleans for a couple days and then Destin, FL for a couple after that on a post-birthday road trip. I'm excited and also a little nervous! I hope it's lots of fun and that the bugs stay to themselves for the most part. But if they don't, I'm sure it'll still be awesome. I'll post some pictures if I get any good ones. Hopefully there will be some beautiful sunsets in Florida. Yay vacation!
