Sweet Relief
I've been crazy busy for the past couple months and have dropped out of sight to just about everyone but the people at work as I've been putting in extra hours to help cover for a vacant position. Thing was, I was just waiting for management to put through my promotion into the position so that they could hire to fill the one I was currently working, but at the last minute I got a job offer from outside the company and well... I took it!
I got a new job!!
So, yeah, it may not start until July because of politics or whatever, but I'm still stoked to be moving on and working at a place a little less rigid. Oh, the things I think I'll be able to do at the new place! Is it wrong that I'm already dreaming of the yummy key lime color of the walls in my new office. Yes! Office! No more cubicles for me. Mwahahaha!
In other news, I went on a vacation to New York City with a couple friends and had a chance to really soak in the city over several days, which was wonderful because previously I'd only been able to spend a few hours here and there and never overnight. Good company, good food, good timing, plenty of stuff to look at... It was fabulous! I have a few pictures from the trip that turned out and you can view them here.
I've also been deep into Supernatural lately and now that my roomie is visiting her family, I've been spending more and more time on YouTube watching clips of Jensen Ackles in interviews and stuff. Watched all of Clownana (the short film he co-produced) and was glad I stumbled upon that when I was in the privacy of my own home. Part 1 is the amusing set up, but part 2 is where you're reduced to omfg giggles of mirth. Check it out.
Whilst loitering about Jensen's IMDB page, I noticed the Smallville eps he was in were coming up on the Family Channel and recorded his characters first appearance last night. He and Lana making out in the church? Hell yeah!
latech, I'm saving that one for you, so watch it first thing when you're back from your travels!
I hope to post more later. Maybe even a story snippet or two. I've been itching to write something new, but what fandom to choose. Hmm... Guess we'll just have to see what inspiration brings.
