Birfday Madness
Okay, yeah, it's my birthday today. And YEAH I did say that I didn't want to have one and that anyone that acknowledged it would just be reminding me of what a giant loser I am I feel like. But then my day started out with a charming birthday extravaganza from my pal latech; and it's turned into a pretty groovy day. Come to find out that I don't feel so old or loser-like after all and maybe I'm actually glad to be alive. Or something. Don't get excited.
Anyway, my co-workers decorated my cube (as per the usual) within an inch of its life with streamers, confetti and banners. They also got me some beautiful spring flowers and have permitted me to abstain from wearing the dreaded birthday hat because it turns out someone that recently left took it with them. Way to go Jill! lol
I also got a chuckle out of talking to a broker this morning who's always fun but we've recently bonded over the total HOTNESS of a beverage vendor that's he's going to be representing at our upcoming show in June. I teased him that I'd have to come over to his booth and chat with him but I'd really be looking at the Beverage Boys. This got us all giggly (yay when gay comes out to play!) and he said I could just hang out with him in the corner of the booth and we'd pretend to talk business but really we'd be checking out teh hotness and, according to him "wonder if that shirt could get any tighter and what would it look like on my bedroom floor...". If I hadn't been blushing before I would've been beet red by then. Come the day of the show, I'll either have to slather on an extra layer of foundation to hide the blushes or completely steer clear of that area of the booths.
So, yeah, it's been a good birthday so far and I'm blessed to be surrounded by so many amazing people and opportunities. I love you all, madly!
