Hunger Games Cast
I wasn't going to do this until I finished the last book in 'The Hunger Games', but my mind started coming up with ideas last night and then today I decided that I would post my dream cast for the eventual movies that are going to made of the three books. The more I thought about this cast (at work today, because my job is so mundane it's all I can do, but create this cast inside my head to keep from going mad) the more I realized I wasn't able to come up with anyone, because I know so few actors who are younger than me - save for the Twilight cast. Then I came up with a different cast ... this one is of who I see inside my head when I read. Bare in mind that this is my mind and therefore a little bit off.
Okay now ... without further ado - The Hunger Games cast as thought of by Christina's twisted brain.
Katniss Everdeen as played by Kate Beckinsale. From the beginning a younger version of Kate was in my head. I loathe that she was there considering how she left Michael Sheen for their 'Underworld' director (The NERVE!), but nonetheless she was there. Now since this is the cast inside my head I don't have to worry about Kate being about 15 years too old for this role.
Peeta Mellark as played by Jackson Rathbone. Not Jackson as he appears now, but rather right before he starred in the first Twilight. He was younger and this picture right here is what my brain brought to the front once I realized Peeta played a major role in the books. In my mind it's this picture, but with Jackson's hair dyed blond.
Gale as played by a drawing of Disney's Aladdin. He's scrappy,mouthy with a head full of dark hair. In my mind of course Gale's not a cartoon, but as far as physical attributes go ... Aladdin is Gale. lol Yeah, I told you my mind is a weird place.
Haymitch as played by Jeffery Dean Morgan. Haymitch is kind of a jerk and a drunk. From the start I thought JDM's character The Comedian from 'Watchmen' would fit perfectly for Haymitch then as it became apparent that he wasn't such a bad guy, I saw him more of JDM's character as Sam and Dean's father from 'Supernatural'. Either way the actor works for me and this is a role that I'm really hoping he's cast as. No one else is Haymitch to me.
Effie Trinket as played by Kristen Chenowith. Just like Haymitch there is no one else that can play this role. Effie has always been Kristen in my head and that was before I knew she was the fandoms' popular choice for the role as well.
President Snow as played by Mr. Brisby from The Venture Brothers. Go ahead laugh, but this is who I saw. Man, I watch too many cartoons. lol
