Something New
There are three songs that have made it into playlist of tunes I sing to Audrey before she goes to bed -
'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star' ... Her favorite (much to my dismay)
My Bonnie lies over the ocean
'I could of danced all night' from My Fair Lady (Yes, I am a musical nerd)
Tonight I just did not feel like singing any of these, so instead I sang 'You were meant for me' by Jewel.
To this day I still play her album 'Pieces of You'. I can't say much for her musical efforts afterward, but Jewel's first CD still holds a special place in my heart.
I think I might add 'You were meant for me' to Audrey's playlist. :)
Seriously, sometimes I feel like bedtime is the most stressful part of my day. Cole usually goes down without much fuss, but Audrey ... ugh. She will prolong sleeping as long as possible. She usually does this with endless questions and then also by saying goodnight multiple times. Usually I have to just shut the door on her while she is still talking.
