they'll lay me on the dinner table

well, friday i lounged around to watch television. i'm interested in that new show "south of nowhere" that's coming to the n in november.

saturday morning i met up with allison and angela for leatherby's. i told myself that i would try something different this time, but of course that never works out. we talked for awhile about humorous things until allison had to go get ready for the green day concert. after everyone left i went to the mall to use my bath and body works coupon and ended up spending over $100 on clothes as well.

but yeah, the brown sugar & fig body cream i bought smells really good.

later on i went to angela's and we watched hide and seek. of course i only agreed because it had dakota fanning in it and we all know how great little dakota is. the movie was... okay. it was pretty good until they carried the story out too far and it became increasingly predictable. but it wasn't totally worthless.

after this, rose called and we went to her house for a girls night. when we got there she said the other girls had flaked out, but allison abbottawa was coming. we began watching a movie about these asians who decide that they need to become better soccer players by incorporating kung fu into the game to defeat "team evil". but we decided we needed food first. so you can imagine the mind set of some vietnamese or some other nationality embraced woman working the night shift at the drive through of del taco at 12:30 am. after that, we went to wendy's for some more food and amusment. once we had gathered our resources and had a good laugh, we ventured back to rose's to watch the movie with nick who came, too. i think it was called shaodin soccer, but i don't think i'm spelling that correctly. it was pretty funny nonetheless. it reminded me of kung fu hustle a lot with the random dancing outbreaks and comments.

allison began to fall asleep and left. angela, rose and i then watched part of adam's family before conking out. it was good times. i had fun and it was good to hang out.

we woke this morning to cats ignoring our demands. rose had to go to work so angela and i went to "rosie's country kitchen" where everyone calls you "honey" and "sweet heart". i like gravy.

after eating, i dropped angela off and went home. i showered and pondering, cleansed and sat. my parents got home from grocery shopping and i decided to educate my dad on girl world by making him watch mean girls, even though i've seen that movie probably more than enough times. he said he liked it.

Another week away, my greatest fear.
I need the smell of summer,
I need its noises in my ears.

it's starting to get colder at night, and darker earlier. this morning when i got in my car, there were golden leaves scattered over my wind shield wipers. the air smelled crisp. i'm so incredibly content that colder weather is coming. i miss the rain. i miss the cold. i miss layers of clothing & festive hot chocolate. & scarves. & cold noses. & gray skies. & comforting winds.

& i miss feeling happy.

oh yeah, i forgot to update about getting another plant. her name is grete.
it is likely that she will end up as gwen did some weeks ago.

If I flooded out your house
do you think you'd make it out
or would you burn up before the water filled your lungs?

And at your funeral
I will sing the requiem
